Measure the longest and widest flat area available, then subtract at least 3 feet on each side for staking, guy wires, and walkway access. Our largest tent, the 20×30, needs a minimum clear area of about 26×36 feet. Avoid areas with overhead power lines, low branches, or underground sprinkler heads.

Do I need extra space for a dance floor?

Yes. A small dance area for 20–30 people needs about 100–200 additional square feet. If dancing is a big part of your event, our 20×30 tent gives you room for both dining and a small dance area. For larger events, we can set up multiple tents to keep the dining area comfortable while leaving room to move.

How much space does a buffet table need?

Plan for one 8-foot rectangular table per 50 guests for the buffet line, plus 4–6 feet of clearance in front of the table for the serving queue. If you're doing a double-sided buffet, you can serve more guests with fewer tables.
